Reviews
This restaurant is a MUST! The White wine soup, stroganoff and boeuf special, delicious! Service great, chefs A1 and management so engaging. Location.. breathtaking! I Can only imagine how good it would be in summer. Thanks for the memorable experience.
What a phenomenal view over Stein am Rhein! On top in a historically well preserved place that doesn't have it alikes. Also the food and service very nice, so don't hesitate for a romantic or group diner if you're into a special experience.
Accessible on foot, by bike or road. You'll miss half the views if you don't hike the hill. Nice food in the restaurant at a price though. Climb the tower to see the best views and explore all the rooms in the castle including the dungeon.
Can highly recommend a walk to this lovely castle. There are 2 options getting to the castle, one steep but shorter and the other slightly longer but not as steep initially. Gorgeous views of Stein am Rhein. There is a great little restaurant at the top of the castle. Toilets are there too. Definitely a must see if you go to canton Schaffhausen. Accessing Stein am Rhein from Schaffhausen Main Train station is easy to access via a 30 minute train ride , you can also access Stein am Rhein via boat through various cruise companies (I would suggest to look online for timetables). Truly is a perfect day out for some great walking activity , fresh air and stunning views and scenery.
Great food, we had rent a Knight’s room for a wonderful company’s diner. Wonderful view of the beautiful village from the balcony of the castle restaurant. Recommend to have drink there!
Wish I could go back here, the sweet fresh wine in the fall is extremely good, I think it's called Süsse. I went to Switzerland as an Au Pair and was lucky enough to visit here.
The view outside the restaurant is stunning、glamorous、gorgeous、picturesque ........I didn’t have a meal here, because I visited in the early morning 。
Beautiful restaurated castle with a great view over the pretty town the river rhine and to the alps. Wonderful atmosphere in the dining rooms. Service was a little stressed. Old bread was served, a no-go at the price point. Rest of the cold meat and cheese plate was great and very well presented - just perfectly good.
